Prof. Dr. Jochen Dickel is a professor of media design and development at the Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM) in Bielefeld, Germany.
Prof. Dr. Jochen Dickel is a professor of media design and development at the Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM) in Bielefeld, Germany. He serves as the Scientific Director for Emerging Technologies and leads several undergraduate programs, including Communication Design and Advertising, Media Creation and Production, and Virtual Reality Management. With a background in Visual Communication from the University of Applied Sciences Hannover, he has been active in academia since 2004, specializing in areas such as user experience design, interactive media, and virtual/augmented reality. His professional experience includes roles as art director at Bertelsmann and founder of e-trend Media Consulting. Prof. Dickel is also engaged in European Erasmus+ projects like HYBOT and ASSISTANT and has led numerous exhibitions and design thinking initiatives. His scholarly work focuses on media innovation, educational technology, and digital communication.
